Let us help fill this blank
When we think about who we are, often what we do comes near the top of the list
And knowing this and how important having a reason to get up every day can be is why Phelps Case Management considers Vocational Case Management and input key to recovery.
Vocational Case Management is as much about a meaningful day and how that benefits your over all well being/recovery. It isn’t just about ‘getting a job’ or ‘getting back to work’. We can help look to support a return to pre injury roles and/or explore suitable roles in the future.
Using a combination of skills available to us, our Vocational Rehabilitation supports can be offered for people who have suffered Brain Injuries, Complex Multi Trauma or Psychological Injuries.
And we won Team of the Year by the Vocational Rehabilitation Association in 2024 for doing this well.
Who might benefit…?
Someone who needs guidance and support returning to their pre-injury role - we can support and look to help coordinate reasonable accommodations and graded return programmes.
Perhaps you have been in the same trade all your life and have no experience how to start re-looking for work
Maybe you have no CV or job seeking skills or experience and need a guide through the process
If your injury has meant that you need help to organise the tasks involved in looking for work and support to complete them, we might be able to help.
..Or your client requires oversight and accountability for going through the process or gaining employment or meaningful vocation.
FAQs
Can Vocational Rehab Start before clinical rehab ends?
Yes! For some people focusing on their return to work helps motivate maximum engagement with clinical and therapeutic input as is cements their idea of ‘moving forward’.
For some it can be stand alone input OR provided alongside other clinical case management input. We like to collaborate! We are happy to work alongside other teams.
Can I go back to my old job?
That would be ideal and sometimes employers and employees might need some guidance as to how to approach this in an appropriate and sustainable way through reasonable accommodations and graded return to work - we can help with that.
Will any job do?
No. That’s why if we’re exploring new roles we offer ‘transferable skills analysis’ as part of our assessment process to make sure you’re looking for jobs that would work for you and that you could work for.
What about volunteer roles?
Volunteer roles may be The Perfect Place to start your return to having full and meaningful days - if that is something you want to consider. We assess and review all aspects of Vocational Rehab for people with all types of ongoing symptoms. We also have worked with people or all types of experience.
Are training needs considered?
If we feel further training may be of benefit then we’ll discuss that at the Recommendations stage. We can review your plans and needs in regard to your work goals.
Training can be something we research as part of entry routes including their costs and requirements to start varying courses.
